Jeanette is a Masters of Social Work Candidate at Columbia University. She has worked in New York City as an actor, in startups and in venture capital before pursuing her true passion in mental health. She received her BFA in Drama with Honors from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts. Her background as an actor allows her unique insights, understanding, and empathy in working with a wide range of clients. Using an interdisciplinary approach, Jeanette’s mission is to help others achieve optimal well-being while gaining a deeper understanding of themselves. Her technique combines evidence-based treatments such as CBT, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, and art therapy. She meets her clients wherever they are in life and strives to build a therapeutic relationship that is built on warmth, authenticity, curiosity, and collaboration. Her areas of interest include individuals with grief and bereavement, career changes and challenges, relationship issues, eating disorders, and OCD. Jeanette is in good standing with the National Association of Social Workers and serves as Columbia University’s ambassador to the association.
