Jared aims to help clients build their internal resources as they navigate challenging situations, resulting in improved self-awareness, resiliency, and psychological flexibility. He understands that trust and vulnerability are foundational to effective therapy and creates a safe, compassionate space where clients feel comfortable being authentic and at ease. Drawing from several disciplines, his goal is to help each client define and create a more fulfilling and meaningful life. His therapeutic style is warm, down-to-earth, and marked by curiosity and humor. Jared offers individual, group, and couples therapy.

Grounded in evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existential Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, Jared’s practice is further enriched by specialized training in Dungeons and Dragons Therapy/Tabletop Role Playing Therapy (TTRPT) and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This dynamic skill set allows him to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs as they address personal challenges and achieve greater life satisfaction. His clinical interests encompass the negative mental health effects of excessive screen time and young adults facing career, identity, and relationship challenges. However, his expertise extends to individuals of all ages struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma.

A graduate of Wake Forest University, Jared earned a BA with Honors in Psychology and went on to complete a Master’s in clinical mental health counseling. Jared has presented research at national conferences on topics including Virtual Reality Therapy and TTRPT. He also consults with the Westchester Collaborative Theater, advising on the portrayal of mental health conditions and personal struggles on stage. His background as an award-winning meditation teacher and co-founder of a neurofeedback bioware startup underscores his commitment to mindfulness and evidence-based practice.
