Karen brings over two decades of experience in clinical practice and mental health leadership to our practice. In addition to being formally trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy and relational theories, Karen incorporates DBT, CBT and brief supportive therapy modalities in her practice. Her approach is strength-based and collaborative, and both direct and insight oriented. Above all, she believes that a positive therapeutic relationship is essential for patients to explore their concerns and navigate challenges. She works with her patients to understand the deeper patterns shaping their life experience and process change as an opportunity for growth and improve life satisfaction. Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma related symptoms, or life transitions, Karen provides a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts and emotions with clarity.
Karen earned her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and maintains licensure in both New York and Massachusetts.
