Meet Eve Josephson, LMSW

Therapist

Eve believes that engaging in the therapeutic process can lead to lifelong change. Her work with clients demonstrates that personal change and emotional growth are achieved when individuals are permitted to rewrite their personal narratives. Eve began her career in Human Resources, where she developed programming to improve employee well-being and communication. She used her interpersonal skills in HR to facilitate employee relations and create an emotionally supportive environment. She was most drawn to the one-on-one aspect of her work and found that employees frequently sought her expertise and guidance when facing personal challenges. This inspired her to pursue a Masters in Social Work at New York University, which has allowed her to do what she loves: work individually and consistently with clients, empowering them to live with a sense of purpose and emotional ease.

During her training, Eve honed her clinical skills with various patient populations, including parents of pediatric patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and geriatrics at a Senior Center. For the past two years, she has worked in private practice, using a mix of modalities to align with her client’s needs and meet their changing priorities and life challenges. Eve enjoys working with patients of diverse backgrounds and cultures. She strives to create a safe and open space for authentic communication, providing a judgment-free and humanistic approach to personal growth and change in her clients’ lives.

Eve works with her clients to achieve actionable goals while providing a nurturing hand to support progress. She believes collaboration is essential to the therapeutic process and that patients are more likely to address internal and external challenges with a trusting professional at their side. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Supportive Therapy to address her clients’ challenges in the here and now and in their inner emotional lives.
Eve specializes in issues surrounding life transitions, anxiety, depression, and work/life balance. She enjoys working with patients of diverse backgrounds and cultures. to create a safe and open space for authentic communication.
