Meet Chrissy Knopp, LCSW

Chrissy (she/her) is a warm, enthusiastic clinician who supports people in exploring their potential with curiosity, empathy, acceptance, and some humor. She uses a strengths-based, relational approach to deepen people’s understanding of who they are, identify what no longer serves them, and explore who they want to be. She believes we, as humans, already hold an innate wisdom to navigate our lives and can often benefit from fewer “should’s” and more self-compassion.

Chrissy works with people impacted by anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, life stage changes, trauma, and meets with people who are struggling in their relationships with themselves and others. Additionally, Chrissy works with couples and families around decreasing conflict and improving their communication and connection. Her post-graduate training at The Ackerman Institute for the Family included extensive study of postmodern family systems theories and a collaborative, relational approach to therapy. She also utilizes her training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients open up to their thoughts and feelings and take actions that align with their values. Chrissy received her Masters in Social Work from The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and her bachelors of science from Ohio State University.

Step 3: Check the fit

Connect with the clinician or therapist you are matched with to ask questions, share history, and make sure you feel comfortable about moving forward. If so, book your first session. If it does not feel right, circle back with us.
